EXAM PATTERN :


The whole process for IBPS PO Selection is divided into 3 stages: IBPS PO PRELIMSIBPS PO MAINS & INTERVIEW.

IBPS PO – PRELIMS EXAM PATTERN:

In IBPS PO Preliminary Exam (Prelims), There are three sections and 20 minutes of time is allotted for individual sections.

Total 100 MCQs (Multiple Choice Question) are asked in IBPS PO Preliminary (IBPS PO PRELIMS) Exam.

  1. English Language
  2. Numerical Ability
  3. Reasoning Ability

The details of IBPS PO PRELIMS EXAM are as under :

The candidates who score the minimum cut-off marks are called for IBPS PO MAIN EXAM (Mains).

IBPS PO – MAINS EXAM PATTERN:

The IBPS PO MAIN Exam (Mains) is divided into two parts – PART : 1 – MCQs Exam & Part : 2 – Descriptive Exam.

In PART : 1, 155 MCQs are asked and given 3 hrs times. Full Marks – 200 & includes four sections-

  1. Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude
  2. English Language
  3. Data Analysis & Interpretation
  4. General Awareness Syllabus, Economy / Financial / Banking Awareness

PART : 2, is of 2 Descriptive questions and 30 minutes time.

The interview is of 100 marks. Candidates are required to secure at least 40 marks ( 35 for SC/ST and PWD candidates) to clear the IBPS PO Interview.

Some special Points about IBPS PO Interview :

  • The interview judges the Temperament and the Interpersonal skills of the candidate.
  • The interview panel consists of 4-5 members, which include some eminent bankers and a psychologist.
  • The questions are based on the candidate’s profile, such as education, employment history, hobbies, noteworthy achievements, and other details.
  • Panelists may also ask questions from Banking Awareness, Culture, Current Affairs, and General Awareness.
